Flower Power Wednesday

This week, Preses got the flower because she was kind to Corrina when she was upset. Great work Preses! What a great friend.

FMS Sport

On Wednesday we went to the hall to do FMS Sport. We learned how to do an overhand throw. You put your hand straight and your feet have to face the wall. Then you can throw it.  See how we do it:

We played a game after that. You had to throw the bean bag to the floor. Everybody has to get it back in the square. We have to run and get some points when they are getting the bean bags. Have a look:

300!

Last year when we were The Learning Lions, we started counting by one every day. When we got ten sticks we made a bundle of 10. When we got ten bundles of 10 we made a bundle of 100. Today we got to 300! That's a lot of days at school. Sini has only missed two of those days and that's because he was really, really sick. Do you think we will get to 400?

(Tuesday) Morning Bar Graph

Interschool Rugby

All of the houses were playing touch rugby on the field. If you are touched, you have to pass the ball and roll it under you to the next person. There are six people in a team. You have to to try to get the ball over the try line to score a try. Have a look at some of the Monkeys playing in the Kakapo vs Kotare game:

Our Country: Cyprus!

This week we are learning about Cyprus. Cyprus is a country in the Commonwealth and this week it is the Commonwealth Games. They are in Glasgow, Scotland. Here is a picture of Cyprus's flag. On the flag is their country and two olive branches. The branches and the white stand for peace.

So far, they have 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals. That's 5 medals total.

What can you find out about Cyprus? Post a comment with what you found on the Internet or in a book.
