Bridges of Sand

Next time we're going to do it better by making the hills the same size (Jenysis). That is making it right. We will try this next week.

Happy Day

Today was Happy Day. We went to our morning tea shed and drew some happy day pictures of us. Have a look at what we did and watch the video!

Patterns!

Today, Mr Davidson asked us to make a pattern using anything we could find in the classroom.  We used Lego, puzzles, lids, rocks and shells, numicon shapes and Bee Bots. Can you make a pattern yourself?

Have a look at the patterns we made. Can you figure out what the pattern is?

Maths Work Today!

Today we did lots of fun activities in Maths. The Parrots had to make numbers using sticks. They had to read the words, not the numbers.  Here is what Preses and Vaueli did:

The Finches were learning how to count to 100. Here are videos of Essence and Clover practicing:

Jackson is our Friend

During Discovery today, we got to hold Jackson, our class pet. We listened to Mr Davidson. We had to hold him on the tail near his bum and be very careful. He was not too scared of us. See the pictures of us holding him:

Mouse Discovery

Today we had a Discovery all about mice. We got to hold Jackson, make a collage of a mouse, make up a song for Jackson, and make some toys for him.  Here are some pictures of our collages:

Sandpit Time

Yesterday the Magnificent Monkeys went to the sandpit and the sandpit was too dry.

So we put water in the sandpit to make the sand thicker so we could make it stick together and not fall down.

The sand got too wet....

... so we mixed it together.

Then we could make sandballs with the sand.

We used persistence because we never gave up. We also used working together to make sure no one got hurt from getting sand in their eyes from the wind.
