Natural Treasures

The Magnificent Monkeys have lots of plants and other natural treasures in our classroom.  Here is our plant we are growing. It has grown up to 13cm now. That's 1 whole cm since we measured it last time. Here is TJ helping us measure it:

Monday Morning Bar Graph

Five people like Daisies (Nari). Fourteen people like lilies (Lucas). Zero people like roses (Valerie).  Zero people like tulips (Izaya).  No one likes daffodils (Essence). Nobody likes pansies (Vaueli).

Planting a Tree

In assembly this morning we got a plant because we posted our pledge on our blog yesterday. This afternoon we went to the back of the school to plant it. First we dug a hole with the spades. Then we put the plant in the hole. Next we filled in the hole with the dirt. Finally we watered the plant. Have a look at the pictures we took.

Our Caterpillars

In our class we have 10 caterpillars. They are big. The caterpillars got a new skin. Some caterpillars turned into a chrysalis. We got to touch them gently with one finger. They felt soft. One chrysalis moved. They ate a lot of leaves and when the leaves were gone we fed them some pumpkin.
