Pasifika
This week in Pasifika, Mr Siilata and the older children taught us some new dances. The boys learned a Samoan Faitaupati (a slap dance) and the girls learned a Samoan Siva (please, if this is wrong, correct me). Have a look at the older children teaching the younger children. Remember this is their first try at doing this.
Shapes!
Mr Davidson told us to make pictures with shapes. We could use triangles, rectangles, circles, hexagons, ovals and squares. Have a look at the videos we took talking about our pictures:

FMS Sport
We had some coaches come in to do sports with us yesterday. Here is a Pic Collage Mr Davidson made and a video of us having fun. We were hopping on one leg and singing the abc song on the abc line (Robbie). We were playing fruit salad and when the coach said the fruit we had to go find a fruit to stand on (Essence). We ran to the tree and we ran back to the coaches (Valerie).

After weeks of forgetting, Mr Davidson finally got us to pick a person for the flower. This week it goes to Robbie. When Nari got hurt, he comforted her until she was better. Great work Robbie. You are a very kind friend!

Next time we're going to do it better by making the hills the same size (Jenysis). That is making it right. We will try this next week.

Today was Happy Day. We went to our morning tea shed and drew some happy day pictures of us. Have a look at what we did and watch the video!

Patterns!
Today, Mr Davidson asked us to make a pattern using anything we could find in the classroom. We used Lego, puzzles, lids, rocks and shells, numicon shapes and Bee Bots. Can you make a pattern yourself?
Have a look at the patterns we made. Can you figure out what the pattern is?

The Magnificent Monkeys' Assembly
We haven't been updating our blog as much as we usually do this week. That's because this week was our week to put on assembly (and we had a trip!). Mr Davidson promises to update the blog this weekend with some things we did this week, but until then, here is a video of our assembly. We hope you enjoy it:
Lucas also won the attendance draw, so he gets to have cupcakes and milkshakes on Monday at morning tea! Congratulations Lucas for coming to school every day this week!
And here is our certificate for the week. Well done Robbie!
