Measuring With Rulers

Mr Davidson told us to measure some things. We used rulers to measure. We start from 1 if you're gonna measure stuff that's on the ground. We took the iPads and made a Pic Collage about measuring stuff. Here are the ones we made:

Measurement

We learned about measurement and measuring. When we measure something we find out how long it is. We had to measure something with counters and then we took a picture of it on the iPads. We made  Pic Collage with the pictures. We also used lids, blocks, sticks and pens to measure. Have a look at what we did:

We're Going on a Shape Hunt

Today we went outside to find some shapes. We had to make it on the iPads so we could know the shapes' names. We used Five Senses to look and feel for the shapes. Here are the Pic Collages we made:

Science in a Van!

Today at school in the hall there was a lady and a man doing a science show for us. The big ball and the little ball were on top of each other. When they bounced the power from the big ball went to the small ball and it bounced high. Thank you Nari for taking the video:

The man played with the whip. He told us that end of the whip makes it loud. It goes really fast and that makes the sound.

When we went to morning tea and the bell rang we went to the hall again and the man blew some bubbles for the Busy Bees and the Fledglings.

Building With Blocks in Brain Time

In Brain Time, we like playing with blocks. Mr Davidson said to build a really tall tower. Here are some PicCollages we made and a Comic Life Mr Davidson made:

 

Brain Time and Sand Pit

In Brain Time today, some of us made houses out of cards. It was cool and some were very tall. Look at what some of us did:

First we looked at the pictures of sand sculptures. We saw sharks, dolphins, turtles and alligators. Then we went to the sandpit and made some sculptures. The sand wasn't wet so it wouldn't stick together. We put water on the sand. See what we did here:

Robot Discovery

In the morning we went to go to room 6 then we went to make some robots and robot houses with blocks, lego, cardboard, and metal parts. We also made armour and dressed up as a robot. We used Stopping and Thinking when we were making our things. We thought about what we were making before we made it. We also used Creating and Innovating because we created stuff that are new and cool.  Here are some pictures of what we did:

We had some fun in Discovery this morning in Room 10. Here are some of the things we did.

In Brain Time today, some of us were working on PicCollage together. We took some pictures of stuff in the classroom and we wrote about it. Have a look:

Today we did Discovery with Room 7 and Room 9. We did it in our classroom. We played with the playdough on a table. We went to take pictures of people that were making stuff. They were making boats, treasure and hats. We were hiding the sparkly rocks inside the sand. We were playing with the pirate toys. When we were done we cleaned up the classroom.
